On-site & Remote, East Kent NHS Trust | Full-time/Part-time (Minimum 3 days on-site)

What you’ll be doing (in a nutshell): As a member of our EAP team, you’ll provide a 24/7 confidential support service via telephone, virtual, and face-to-face counselling and support for issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, debt advice, and family issues. You will also be based on one of East Kent NHS Trust's sites, providing short-term counselling to NHS Employees in person. In your role, you’ll utilise technology to stay connected to the team environment, but also engage with home-based working, delivering structured counselling to employees across public and private sector organisations.

Day to day you can expect to:

  • Telephone assessments and referrals for ongoing psychological support
  • Video and face-to-face counselling sessions for NHS employees
  • Delivering Psychoeducation workshops and Trauma Support
  • Signposting clients to external resources for specialist support
  • Offering real-time support to employees and managers, including high-risk cases
  • Assisting the EAP Team with referral work and administrative tasks

Rotational shifts: 8am–4pm | 12pm–8pm Occasional on-call duties (max 3 times/year) Bank holiday cover (on a rotational basis)

To be successful you’ll have:

  • Level 4 Diploma in Counselling (essential)
  • Accredited membership with BACP / NCPS
  • Experience in telephone and face-to-face counselling 400+ clinical hours post-qualification
  • Strong understanding of trauma-informed approaches
  • Experience within an EAP setting (advantageous)
  • Computer literacy and the ability to work autonomously and in a team
