About PerkPerk (formerly TravelPerk) is the intelligent platform for travel and spend management. Built to tackle the time-consuming, manual work that gets in the way of real work, our tools automate everything from travel bookings to expenses, invoice processing, and more. By eliminating this shadow work that wastes hours, erodes morale, and saps innovation, we’re on a mission to power real work, with real impact.
We’re trusted by more than 10,000 companies worldwide, including Wise, On Running, Breitling, and Fabletics. Founded in 2015, Perk has grown into a global company of more than 1,800 people across 12 offices globally, with headquarters in London and Boston. We combine innovation, control, and simplicity to transform how businesses work and how people feel at work. At Perk, we’re driven by our values, like being an owner, delivering a 7-star experience, and working as one team. Our talent team brings together leading minds from the travel and SaaS industries, representing over 70 countries. If you’re excited about having a real impact and shaping how millions of people experience work, we’d love you on the team.
The Platform function at Perk builds the foundations that the rest of the company depends on. We own the shared infrastructure, core services, and developer tooling that enable product teams to move fast without breaking things. Our work is often behind the scenes, but its impact is everywhere: reliability, scalability, security, and developer experience. We solve hard, systemic problems, make deliberate trade-offs, and hold ourselves accountable for the long-term health of the platform. If you care about leverage, clean abstractions, and building things other engineers actually enjoy using, you’ll feel at home here.
As an Individual Contributor in the Platform function at Perk, you’ll work on the systems that other engineers build on top of every day. That means core services, shared libraries, infrastructure, and developer tooling that need to be reliable, scalable, and quietly dependable. This role is about leverage, not tickets. You’ll spend your time solving cross-cutting problems, designing clear abstractions, and making trade-offs that optimise for the whole company, not a single team. Success here looks like fewer, less impactful incidents, faster development cycles, and other engineers barely noticing the platform because it just works.
