We exist to create a more equal society for women, at home, at work, in communities and institutions. We fight for gender equity through system-level change by educating about and advocating for living in sync with your cycle. We are inclusive, innovative learners and storytellers. We never tell others what to do but provide the tools, the platform and the environment for people to share their stories and lived period realities. We amplify voices and stories that deserve to be shared to spark curiosity for cycle-tracking and allow for peer‑to‑peer learning. Our aim is to share high quality resources (blogs, articles, trackers), courses and tools (tracking app) - for free - to inspire, educate and empower 1 billion people by 2030.

Why this role matters

Not everyone who experiences the menstrual cycle identifies as female in the same way; not everyone who identifies as female experiences the menstrual cycle, and many of these voices are often left out. This role helps us ensure our work is inclusive, thoughtful and truly reflective of diverse lived experiences.

What you’ll do

  • Help shape how we approach gender identity across Period Reality’s work.
  • Offer guidance on how menstrual and hormonal health intersects with different gender identities and expressions.
  • Ensure our language, content and resources are inclusive, respectful and affirming.
  • Contribute to content that reflects the experiences of trans, non-binary and gender‑diverse individuals with care and nuance.
  • Advise on how to create safer, more inclusive spaces within our community and programmes.
  • Support trainings, workshops and internal conversations to deepen understanding of gender identity.

What we’re looking for

  • Someone with lived experience across the gender identity spectrum (including trans, non-binary, or gender‑diverse identities), or strong, demonstrated experience working closely with these communities.
  • A thoughtful and reflective perspective on gender identity and how it shapes lived experience.
  • An understanding of how gender identity intersects with menstrual health, body literacy and wellbeing (or openness to explore this with us).
