Perini Management Services Inc. is seeking a Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) for our project located at RAF Lakenheath, UK.
Description
As a Site Safety & Health Officer at Perini Management Services, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:
- Implement and maintain the approved Accident Prevention Plan.
- Manage the project activities in accordance with USACE EM 385-1-1 and UK Construction and Design Management (CDM) regulations.
- Develop Activity Hazard Analyses and provide related instructions to the workforce.
- Manage the information and reporting regarding project safety adherence.
- Participate as an active member of the project Quality Control team.
- Supervise adherence to the Construction Traffic Management Plan and Construction Environmental Management Plan.
- Actively coordinate adherence to the requirements of the project Habitat Regulations Assessment.
- Assist in maintaining project execution records and related project safety documentation requirements while verifying accuracy of all documentation.
- Participate in internal and/or external safety audits.
- Prepare and submit Daily Project Safety Reports.
- Facilitating construction execution through proactive Safety performance.
- Coordinate and schedule third-party safety inspectors.
Requirements
- Meet the training and experience requirements as per the Construction and Design Management (CDM) 2015 and USACE EM 385-1-1 requirements.
- Experience to include at least five years construction experience as a Site Safety and Health Officer or equivalent position.
- Have experience in the areas of hazard identification, safety compliance and sustainability.
- Experience with U.S. Federal Government Clients is preferred.
- Experience as a Site Safety and Health Officer in the UK is preferred.
