A well-established fire and life safety business is looking to add a Fire Service Engineer to its service team covering Guildford and the surrounding areas south of the river. This is a steady, long-term role with a sensible workload, good support, and a team that trusts engineers to manage their own day. The focus is on quality service and proper fault-finding rather than rushing between jobs. Training and upskilling are available for the right person. As long as there is a solid base in fire systems and service work, support is there to build on it.

What’s on offer:

  • Up to £39,000 basic salary, plus overtime
  • £245 per week standby payment
  • 1-in-4 callout rota, planned in advance and shared evenly

What’s needed:

  • Experience in fire and life safety service and remedials
  • Comfortable working independently in the field
  • Experience with systems such as Advanced, C-Tec or Kentec
  • Emergency lighting testing experience
  • Good understanding of BS5839
  • Full UK manual driving licence
  • Able to pass an enhanced DBS

Hours and travel:

Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00. Mainly covering the Surrey area, with occasional on-call/sickness coverage of the Kent area.
