This is not domestic, not light commercial, and not low-grade maintenance work. It's chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, TurboCore compressors, and complex cooling systems where uptime genuinely matters.
The Role
You’ll carry out service and maintenance across high-end critical cooling equipment, working mainly across the Midlands with occasional travel to sites in Slough, Reading, and South Wales.
This is a hands-on technical role within a close-knit, experienced engineering team. You’ll be trusted to diagnose properly, solve problems, and represent the business professionally on site.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Service and maintenance of chillers, VRF/VRV systems, and CRAC units
- Fault-finding and reactive repair on mission-critical cooling plant
- Working directly with data centre operators and on-site technical teams
- Completing service documentation and reports
- Supporting projects outside your region when required
What You’ll Need
- Strong VRF/VRV experience (essential)
- Chiller, TurboCore or close-control experience highly desirable
- F-Gas certification
- Comfortable with travel and occasional nights away
- Based within reach of Birmingham or Coventry
- Full UK driving licence
What’s On Offer
- £50,000 – £60,000 salary
- Door-to-door travel pay
- Van with private use
- Low, informal callout rotation shared across a small senior team
- Company laptop and iPhone
- 25 days holiday bank holidays
