A recognised GENT integrator is seeking a Senior Fire Service Engineer to step into a Team Leader role in Birmingham. This role blends hands-on engineering with leadership responsibility and comes with structured training built around continuous development. Technical excellence, safety competence, and leadership skills are part of the ongoing learning environment.
What the role involves:
- Planned service, maintenance, callouts and remedial work
- Fire alarms, emergency lighting, AOVs and associated systems
- Acting as a technical escalation point on site
- Supporting and mentoring engineers
- You’ll play a central role in helping others grow, supported by the same structured training and development you’ll benefit from
- Ongoing technical and leadership development
- Support to help drive quality and consistency across the team
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience servicing and maintaining GENT and other main fire alarm systems
- Strong technical knowledge across fire alarms and associated life safety systems
- A senior engineer ready to step into a leadership role or an existing team lead seeking progression
- Confident acting as a point of escalation and providing technical guidance to others
- A safety-first mindset with a strong focus on quality and compliance
- Good communication skills and a collaborative approach to mentoring engineers
- Full UK driving licence
Benefits:
- Basic salary up to £42,000
- Company van with private use and fuel card
- £245 per week standby payment
- Door-to-door travel paid while on call
- Holiday entitlement starts at 22 days plus bank holidays and increases with service
