We're looking for a Commercial Gas Engineer who knows their way around a plantroom — someone who can work independently, figure out faults properly, and take pride in doing things right the first time.

You'll be covering a range of sites including schools, care homes, offices, and warehouses, with a base across London and the South East. The company has been around since the '90s and isn't going anywhere — this is a steady, long-term role with proper support behind you.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Servicing and maintaining commercial heating and plantroom systems
  • Diagnosing faults and repairing boilers, controls, and gas appliances
  • Performing safety checks and routine inspections
  • Completing digital timesheets and service reports
  • Covering a mix of public and private sector sites
  • Taking part in the on-call rota (1 in 9 weeks)

What You'll Need to Have

  • ACS Commercial Gas qualifications (COCN1 or equivalent)
  • At least 3 years' experience in commercial gas servicing and maintenance
  • Sound understanding of plantroom systems, boilers, and controls
  • Comfortable working independently and across varied environments
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Basic electrical knowledge would be a bonus

What You'll Get

  • £45,000 – £50,000 base salary (based on 40 hours)
  • Door-to-door travel pay
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Overtime: 1.5x evenings/Saturdays, 2x Sundays/Bank Holidays
  • On-call allowance (around £4,000/year)
  • Van provided with optional personal use
  • Secure, well-supported role with an established business
