We’re hiring for a role built for someone who wants strong earning potential, a light call-out rota, and genuine long-term development through one of the best engineering training setups in the industry. With £48,000-£54,000 on offer, a 1-in-20 call-out rota, and a company that actively invests in its engineers, this is a standout opportunity for someone stronger on chillers who still wants variety in their work. This isn’t about being pushed through endless reactive calls. You’ll be supported by a well-run service desk, given realistic daily workloads, and working on well-maintained commercial contracts across London and inside the M25. The role is biased towards chiller work, with around 70% chillers and 30% air conditioning, making it ideal for an engineer who enjoys more technical fault-finding but is still comfortable across wider HVAC systems. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance, repairs, diagnostics and fault-finding across a range of commercial chiller equipment, while also working on associated air conditioning systems where required. That includes VRV/VRF, split, multi-split and CRAC units. You’ll use manufacturer software and diagnostic tools to identify faults properly, complete digital service reports, and work independently on client sites with strong support from the engineering and office teams. What You’ll Need * Strong service and maintenance experience on commercial chillers * Good working knowledge of air conditioning systems including VRV/VRF, split and multi-split systems * Confident carrying out fault-finding and diagnostics independently * F-Gas Category 1 * Full UK driving licence * Comfortable working alone on commercial sites and using digital reporting tools * Experience with CRAC units or critical environments would be an advantage What’s in It for You * £48,000 – £54,000 base salary * Quarterly performance bonuses plus attendance bonus up to £1,500 per year * Paid travel time of up to 1.5 hours per weekday * Call-out rota of approximately 1 in 20–21 weeks * 33 days holiday including bank holidays * Company van with fuel card and paid parking, with private use permitted * Full kit provided including tablet, mobile phone, PPE and uniform * Structured appraisals, manufacturer training, and genuine long-term progression as your technical ability develops What’s Next If you’re looking for a well-supported chiller role with strong earning potential, proper technical development, and a company that’s built to keep good engineers long term, this is well worth a conversation. Send over whatever CV you’ve got handy – it doesn’t need to be polished. We’ll take it from there
