City of London School is looking for an experienced interim Head of Philanthropy to join them on a 12-month maternity cover contract to secure philanthropic income (major gifts, regular giving and legacies) from parents, alumni and friends of the school, growing income for their bursary programme.
Location: Hybrid / Central London (4 days a week in office)
Salary: c.£55,000

About the role
In consultation with the Director of Philanthropy and External Engagement, the postholder will secure philanthropic income (major gifts, regular giving and legacies) from parents, alumni and friends of the school, implementing the institutional strategy for growing philanthropic income for the bursary programme and developing mutually beneficial relationships with prospects and donors.
The postholder will proactively establish and engage with an evolving portfolio of prospects, securing gifts of five and six-figure sums as well as legacies. The postholder will work closely with the Director of Philanthropy and External Engagement on nurturing high-level philanthropic relationships.
The postholder will oversee the Supporter Engagement Officer's work on the acquisition, renewal and uplift of regular donors to the school.
