Overview: I’m hiring for a Senior Design Engineer (Formwork / Temporary Works) in the PERI Glasgow Engineering team. I’m proud to be adding to my team and am currently looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join us following a recent internal promotion.
You’ll be given real responsibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to influence both designs, cost, and people. This role would suit someone who enjoys technically challenging projects, takes pride in high standards, and values working as part of a collaborative, experienced engineering team.
The role involves:
- Technical ownership of designs, application of standards such as BS 5975, working in accordance with CDM 2015.
- Mentoring of less experienced engineers and close collaboration with sales and site teams to develop practical, buildable, cost-effective solutions.
- Collaboration across the UK and overseas to share knowledge, support each other, and continuously improve delivery for clients.
- Contributing to a culture that emphasizes high standards, teamwork, and the philosophy of Right First Time.
Team and Culture: There’s a strong team spirit, plenty of support, and a culture where people are trusted, listened to, and encouraged to develop. This role is an important part of our succession planning as the business develops. It’s particularly well suited to EngTech / IEng engineers (or those working towards it) who are ready for their next step and longer-term progression into leadership.
