Overview
Are you a passionate Geographer with a desire to inspire young people to explore the world around them? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Geography to join our high-achieving department in an outstanding Catholic school in West London. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in September 2025, and we welcome applications from both experienced Geography Teachers and ECTs.
Responsibilities
- Teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching A Level Geography depending on experience and interest.
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities.
- Use a range of teaching methods and resources, including fieldwork, ICT, and interactive activities, to bring Geography to life for students.
- Assess student progress, set targets, and provide constructive feedback to support individual learning journeys.
- Contribute to the department\’s curriculum development and resource creation, ensuring that our Geography curriculum remains relevant and inspiring.
- Foster a love of Geography in students, encouraging them to explore the world around them and develop their understanding of global issues.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues in the department and across the school to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice and keep abreast of the latest developments in Geography education.
Qualifications
- Holds QTS or equivalent.
- Possesses excellent subject knowledge in Geography.
