About the Psychology & Sociology Teacher Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Psychology & Sociology Teacher to join our successful Social Sciences department. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to teach both Psychology & Sociology at Key Stage 5 (A-Level), inspiring students with engaging lessons and a love for these fascinating subjects.
Responsibilities of the Psychology & Sociology Teacher:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology & Sociology lessons that cater to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Create a positive and supportive learning environment where students feel confident to explore psychological and sociological concepts and develop their critical thinking skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress in Psychology & Sociology, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Contribute to the development of the Psychology & Sociology curriculum and departmental resources.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practice and ensure the highest standards of Psychology & Sociology teaching.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Experience teaching Psychology & Sociology at the secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Psychology & Sociology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for Psychology & Sociology and a commitment to inspiring students.
