Your Role:
- Plan and deliver engaging and innovative lesson plans tailored to Year 1 students, ensuring that all children meet and exceed their developmental milestones.
- Build a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation and fosters a love of learning.
- Ensure that individual learning needs are met through differentiated teaching and provide one-to-one support where required.
- Assess students’ progress using formative and summative assessment techniques and implement targeted interventions for those who need extra support.
- Work closely with parents and carers to provide feedback and share strategies for supporting children’s learning at home.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants to ensure effective classroom management and provide additional support where needed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a track record of teaching in primary settings
- Experience of teaching in Year 1 or an understanding of EYFS and KS1 curriculum is essential
- A commitment to creating a stimulating and engaging environment where children feel valued and excited to learn
- Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to manage a diverse class and keep students motivated
- A passion for personalising learning and a desire to meet the needs of all learners
- Excellent communication skills, both with children and adults
