Responsibilities
- Teach Art and Design across Key Stages 3-5, including preparation for GCSE and A-Level examinations.
- Deliver inspiring lessons in a variety of media including painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art.
- Encourage critical thinking, independence, and experimentation through a rich and varied curriculum.
- Support students with portfolio development, particularly those applying to art foundation courses and top universities.
- Take an active role in the school\’s cultural life, including exhibitions, competitions, and cross-curricular projects.
- Contribute to the department\’s strategic development and enrichment programme, including clubs, workshops, and gallery visits.
Qualifications
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with a strong academic background in Art & Design.
- Has significant experience teaching Art, ideally in a selective or independent school setting.
- Is passionate about art education and committed to helping students develop their skills and creative identity.
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge, classroom practice, and assessment ability across all key stages.
- Can contribute to the wider life of the school, including extra-curricular activities and school events.
