What You\’ll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Drive Conversion Optimisation: Lead a systematic A/B testing program to improve the 2.5% conversion rate through data-driven UX improvements, product page optimisation, and checkout flow enhancement.
  • Own Customer Journey: Take full responsibility for the digital customer experience from first click to purchase completion, identifying and eliminating friction points.
  • Build SEO Foundation: Develop and execute a comprehensive SEO strategy to reduce reliance on paid advertising and establish organic traffic growth.
  • Marketing Automation: Create and optimise email sequences, abandoned cart recovery, and other growth/experience based campaigns.
  • Performance Analytics: Implement robust tracking and reporting systems to provide visibility into funnel performance and ROI by channel.
  • Website Optimisation: Ensure site performance can handle 3x traffic growth while maintaining fast load times and excellent user experience.
  • Content Strategy: Develop conversion-focused content including product descriptions, landing pages, and educational content that drives purchase decisions.
  • Mobile Excellence: Optimise the mobile experience to capture the growing mobile segment of outdoor living customers.

  • Conversion Rate: Primary metric with target improvements of up to 20 percentage points.
  • Organic Traffic: Grow organic search traffic by 50%+ year over year.
  • Email Revenue: Establish email as 15%+ of total revenue through automation.
  • Page Speed: Maintain load times under 3 seconds on all pages.
  • Customer Acquisition Cost: Reduce overall CAC through improved organic presence.
  • Average Order Value: Increase through better product bundling and upselling.

What You\’ll Bring

  • Multi-year Ecommerce Experience: Proven track record managing high-growth ecommerce websites, preferably in home improvement or outdoor living sectors.
  • CRO Expertise: Hands-on experience with A/B testing platforms, conversion optimisation methodologies, and user experience principles.
  • SEO Knowledge: Understanding of technical SEO, content optimisation, and organic growth strategies.
  • Analytics Proficiency: Experience with Google Analytics, conversion tracking, and data interpretation to drive decisions.
  • Technical Skills: HTML/CSS knowledge, familiarity with Shopify (Platform, Flow, Scripts, and Apps), and experience with testing tools.
  • Marketing Automation: Experience with email marketing platforms (Klaviyo preferred), customer segmentation, and automated campaign development.
  • Premium Brand Understanding: Appreciation for luxury/premium positioning and maintaining brand standards while optimising for conversion.
