Workshop Controller
Location: High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire
Salary: Up to £42,000 OTE/annum (Basic salary £30k-£32k)

We are recruiting for an experienced Workshop Controller to join our client’s franchised car dealership in High Wycombe. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background as a Senior Service Advisor or Lead Technician who is looking to step up into a leadership role.
About the Role
As a Workshop Controller, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day running of the workshop. Key responsibilities include:
- Team Leadership: Managing and motivating a team of technicians to achieve productivity, efficiency, and high-quality standards.
- Workflow Management: Allocating work to technicians, ensuring jobs are completed on time and to the required standard.
- Quality Control: Overseeing completed jobs, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and ensuring all vehicles leave the workshop in optimal condition.
- Customer Satisfaction: Working closely with the front-of-house team to ensure clear communication with customers regarding repair updates, timelines, and costs.
- Workshop Performance: Monitoring and analysing workshop KPIs, including productivity, utilisation, and efficiency, and implementing strategies for improvement.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensuring all workshop activities comply with company policies and legal requirements.
Applicant Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience as a Workshop Controller, Senior Service Advisor, or Lead Technician.
- A strong understanding of workshop productivity and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and team management skills.
- A customer-focused mindset with the ability to liaise effectively between technicians and service advisors.
- An NVQ qualification (or equivalent) in Motor Vehicle Maintenance is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
