Performance Energy is a specialist global workforce solutions business delivering technical manpower across the energy sector.
We partner with some of the world’s leading operators and service companies, supplying high-calibre technical professionals across offshore, drilling, completions, intervention, production and emerging energy projects.
As we continue to grow internationally, we’re looking for a Global Operations Director to build and lead the operational infrastructure required to support the next phase of our growth.
This is a strategic leadership role with significant influence across the organisation and an opportunity to shape how the business scales over the coming years.
Why This Role Matters
Performance Energy has reached a stage where operational excellence will define our next phase of growth.
We’re looking for a leader who wants to build systems rather than inherit them, improve performance rather than maintain it, and create an operation capable of supporting a significantly larger international business.
This is an opportunity to take ownership of our operational strategy, influence executive decision-making and leave a lasting impact on how the business performs globally.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Operations Director who can build scalable systems, lead high-performing teams and drive operational excellence across the business.
You’ll work closely with the executive leadership team, with the autonomy to improve processes, strengthen operational performance and build an operation capable of supporting continued international growth.
This is not a role focused on maintaining existing processes. We’re looking for someone who thrives on improving them.
The Global Operations Director is responsible for all operational strategy, R&D, Compliance, Contract management & international trade enablement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the company’s global operations strategy.
- Build & develop all international trade relationships
- Extend & open international Performance Energy offices
- Lead and develop operational teams, creating a culture of accountability, performance and continuous improvement.
- Manage & Develop operations team members
- Own (outcome) the full lifecycle of onboarding, mobilisation, service quality and improvement
- Design scalable operational processes that support international growth.
- Improve contractor mobilisation, operational compliance and delivery performance.
- Monitor operational KPIs and drive data-led improvements.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, Marketing and Executive Leadership to align operational priorities with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities to automate, standardise and improve business processes.
- Ensure operational compliance, quality standards and risk management are maintained across all regions.
- Drive operational efficiency while maintaining exceptional service standards for clients and contractors.
- What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn’t measured by maintaining the status quo. It’s measured by building an operation that delivers measurable business outcomes.
- Deliver a consistently high-quality client experience.
- Mobilise contractors efficiently across global projects.
- Operate with clear systems, accountability and measurable performance.
- Support sustainable international growth.
- Build high-performing teams that scale with the business.
- What You’ll Bring

- Makes confident, commercially sound decisions using data.
- Enjoys solving complex operational challenges.
- Brings a positive, collaborative leadership style and enjoys developing high-performing teams.
- Communicates effectively across all levels of an organisation.
Essential Experience
- Proven experience in an Operations Director, Head of Operations or equivalent leadership role.
- Experience leading multi-functional operational teams.
- Strong background in operational strategy, process improvement and scaling businesses.
- Commercial awareness with experience managing operational performance against KPIs.
- Experience implementing operational systems and driving continuous improvement.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desirable Experience
- Recruitment, workforce solutions or staffing industry experience.
- Experience supporting international operations.
- Knowledge of compliance-led or workforce mobilisation environments.
- Experience with CRM, recruitment or operational technology platforms.
Why Join Performance Energy?
This is an opportunity to shape the future of a growing international business, not simply manage an existing operation.
You’ll work alongside an ambitious executive leadership team, influence strategic direction and play a key role in building the systems, people and operational capability that will support our long-term growth.
We’re building a business that values accountability, continuous improvement and high performance.
We believe great results come from surrounding ourselves with positive, driven people who enjoy solving problems, challenging the status quo and helping those around them succeed.
