Body Shop Technician (Grimsby Hyundai)

Grimsby Hyundai is looking for a 310B Licensed Body Shop Technician to join their high volume shop.

Here’s what you’ll deliver:

• Project a positive attitude for the benefit of our customers and our junior employees.
• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards using manufacturer repair instructions whenever available.
• Immediately notify Body Shop Advisor when additional work is needed.
• Examine all vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Perform all work as outlined on the front of the repair order and as authorized on the back, with efficiency and accuracy, and in accordance with company and factory standards.
• Ensure that all work performed is thorough, accurate, and completed in a timely fashion.
• Work effectively without supervision.
• Supervise work of all apprentice technicians or students; report immediately any deficiencies to the Production Manager.
• Attend factory-sponsored training classes as scheduled by management.
• Keep abreast of all factory technical bulletins.
• Learn and understand all current and emerging technologies as they apply to automobile service.
• Maintain a high degree of concentration to prevent “comebacks”.
• Ensure that customer cars are kept as clean or cleaner than when they arrived, both inside and out.
• Keep the shop area neat and clean at all times.
• Clean bay and bench at the end of each shift.
• Dispose of garbage, recycling, etc. as required.
• Understand and follow federal, provincial, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
• Other duties as required by management.

What you need to succeed:

• Body Shop Technician, fully licensed (310B).
• 3-5 years experience with auto body repairs.
• Experience with Insurance Collision Repair and Pre-owned reconditioning work.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
• Must have a valid Ontario Driver's License and good driving record.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and succeed.
• Must be team oriented, hardworking with a positive attitude.
• Ability to work overtime when required.

Job Type: Full Time - Permanent

Compensation (expected hourly wage): $34.00 - $36.00 per hour. The starting rate will be set within this range based on job-related factors such as relevant skills and experience.
