The Manager of Sales for the Puppet team at Perforce is seeking an Associate Account Executive to support the growth and retention of an existing commercial customer base.
This role is aligned to existing accounts with defined revenue expectations, focused on expansion, renewal support, and customer value realization. The Associate Account Executive will work closely with customers to identify growth opportunities, support sales execution, and help ensure long‐term customer success. This is a developmental role designed to build strong commercial sales fundamentals and prepare individuals for future full Account Executive responsibility.
Responsibilities
Account Management & Revenue Growth
Manage and support a portfolio of existing Puppet customers
Identify upsell and cross‐sell opportunities, including license expansion and adoption of additional products
Build and maintain relationships with technical stakeholders, economic buyers, and procurement contacts
Conduct business reviews ahead of renewals to validate value delivered and identify potential growth or retention risks
Sales Support & Execution
Support opportunity progression within existing accounts, including discovery, quoting, and contract execution
Assist in managing renewals, expansions, and commercial conversations aligned to customer needs
Maintain accurate account data, opportunity details, and activity tracking in Salesforce
Collaboration & Customer Success
Partner closely with Customer Success, Sales Engineering, Product, Support, and Finance to ensure positive customer outcomes
Serve as a trusted point of contact for customers, responding to questions and coordinating internal resources
Share customer feedback internally to improve messaging, process, and product alignment
Requirements
2–4 years of experience in sales, account management, customer success, or a customer‐facing commercial role
Experience with software, SaaS, or cloud solutions strongly preferred
Understanding of account expansion, renewals, and customer lifecycle management
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
Ability to analyze account data and identify growth opportunities
Comfortable learning and supporting technical products and engaging with both technical and business stakeholders
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a fast‐paced environment
