Overview

PerfectTed is seeking a strategic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to oversee the end‐to‐end supply chain for our rapidly growing matcha powder business. From ceremonial‐grade matcha powders to flavoured matcha blends, you will manage and optimise the co‐manufacturing timelines, materials, and processes to ensure efficient and seamless operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the production planning process, ensuring all timelines, materials, and processes are tightly tracked and optimised
  • Manage relationships with procurement to ensure timely arrivals of matcha, powder ingredients, and packaging materials
  • Lead batch run requests to co‐manufacturers and monitor confirmations
  • Work closely with suppliers and co‐manufacturers to resolve issues and optimise costs
  • Track and manage COGS (Cost of Goods Sold) and drive cost‐saving initiatives
  • Ensure all operational tasks for launches (packaging, co‐man slots, materials) are completed to meet agreed deadlines
  • Lead the development and maintenance of trackers to log cost per unit (CPU) changes, run performance, and overage/shrinkage
  • Reconcile actual production outputs against planned quantities using advanced Excel models
  • Oversee the creation of margin models for new SKUs and cost projections
  • Analyse data to identify areas for cost improvement and operational efficiency
  • Review pre‐run checklists, brief sheets, and spec confirmations to ensure quality standards are met
  • Ensure clear communication of production run timelines, risks, and issues across cross‐functional teams
  • Identify and flag discrepancies in QC documents, packaging dimensions, or material inputs
  • Oversee the operationalisation of new powder products, from packaging orders to trial run coordination
  • Ensure all packaging, print deadlines, and GTINs are aligned with operations for seamless execution
  • Lead post‐launch evaluations, ensuring the analysis and reporting of each run
  • Ensure all powder production runs happen on time and in full, with the right materials available to meet customer launch and replenishment dates

Requirements

  • 5+ years in CPG, food, beverage, or supply chain operations, with experience in managing teams
  • Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to develop sophisticated formulas and models
  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to lead complex projects with cross‐functional teams
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly in managing relationships with external vendors
  • A proactive and enthusiastic problem‐solver, with experience in fast‐paced environments
  • Proven ability to manage the end‐to‐end supply chain process
  • Experience overseeing powder or dry product production processes
  • Familiarity with Unleashed, Notion, or Airtable for supply chain management
  • Knowledge of powder packaging formats (e.g., pouches, sachets) and shelf‐stable product lines
