My client is a well established machine shop based in Leighton Buzzard, who, as part of their expansion are seeking an experienced CNC programmer who can write new CNC programs from scratch using G code programming. This is a permanent late shift role working a 4 day week Monday to Thursday every Friday off. Monday to Wednesday 4.30 pm to 3.30 am Thursday 4.30 pm to 1 am. CANDIDATES MUST BE HAPPY WITH THESE HOURS.
The role responsibilities include:
- Writing CNC programs from scratch
- Confidently completing the full machine set from engineering drawings to finished component including material, tooling, speeds, feeds, cutting conditions etc
- Editing existing programs
- Reading Engineering drawings, geometric tolerances, surface finishes and inspection of final goods
- Doing Test cuts and time studies on behalf of the clients
- Use of Fanuc
