As part of my clients’ expansion, they are seeking an experienced Duty Operations Manager to join this growing group travel company who provide trips for tourists for day trips and short breaks using their own fleet of vehicles. The role is based near Heathrow.

Candidates must have a Coach Drivers CPC licence and PSV and experience of managing coaches/PSV vehicles.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring Drivers report for duty on time
  • Purchasing uniforms on behalf of new and existing drivers
  • Ensuring Drivers are fully conversant with their work schedule and know their route
  • Monitoring work performance
  • Following up on late pick-ups, complaints etc.
  • Liaising regarding day-to-day vehicle maintenance issues with the engineering department
  • Building strong relationships with clients
  • Preparing and submitting reports
  • People Management and Project Management
  • Producing timetables and schedules

This is a busy and diverse role working a shift pattern which is 5 days on and 3 days off. Ideally, you will have experience in a similar environment or could be a Coach Driver who would like a change in direction, who has excellent IT skills and the ability to manage the operation. Ideal candidates will have experience working for travel industry, coach companies, bus companies etc.
