We\’re looking for a Senior Composite Design Engineer who can lead the design and analysis of pipeline, end fittings and interfaces incorporating the use of additive composite manufacturing technology. You will take ownership of delivering qualified design solutions on client‑based development programmes, manage third‑party suppliers of engineering services, and monitor compliance with applicable design codes, practices, performance standards and specifications, including ISO 9001.

Skills / Experience Required

• 5+ years industrial experience in a design engineering role.
• Strong evidence of project delivery in a design and/or analysis role.
• Experience in using a 3D CAD package, ideally SolidWorks.
• Experience in using an FEA system, ideally HyperWorks.
• Experience in the application of composite materials in industry.
• Energy and enthusiasm for tackling challenging problems.
• Excellent team worker with strong organisational and planning skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks, work well under pressure and adhere to project deadlines.
• Highly effective communication and customer‑facing skills.
• Ability to perform fundamental engineering calculations from first principles.
• Experienced user of MS Office products including MS Project.

Qualifications

• Legally able to work in the UK.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.
• At or working towards Chartered Engineering status with a recognised engineering body.
