We are seeking an Aerothermal Engineer with expertise in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to support the prototyping and development of microturbines. The role involves close collaboration with experimental teams to validate simulations and improve designs. You will report to the Design Lead and play a key role in optimizing jet engines.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct CFD simulations focusing on reacting flows, multiphase fluid dynamics, and heat transfer to optimize microturbine performance.
  • Collaborate with experimental teams to validate simulation results and refine designs.
  • Develop, validate, and optimize simulation models and workflows for turbine development.
  • Analyze thermodynamic performance and contribute to design improvements.
  • Interpret simulation results, generate technical reports, and present findings.
  • Create custom algorithms and processes to enhance design workflow efficiency and fidelity.
  • Maintain high standards for design iterations, models, and documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in CFD tools (e.g., Altair, Fluent, Converge or similar).
  • Experience in reaction flow simulations and thermodynamic analysis.
  • MSc or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, with industrial experience or relevant research background.
  • Good understanding of jet engines, microturbines, and thermodynamics.
  • Creative problem-solving and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively.

  • Experience with CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Fusion, SolidWorks).
  • FEA analysis for structural assessment.
