We are recruiting for an experienced Sous Chef to join a vibrant pan‑Asian / sushi concept in Warrington. This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef who enjoys working with fresh, healthy ingredients in a modern kitchen environment, with a strong focus on quality and consistency. The venue offers a great work‑life balance with a 40‑hour week, flexible 4 or 5 day working pattern, and no late‑night finishes.
The Role
- Work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen.
- Play a key role in maintaining standards, supporting the team, and delivering consistently high‑quality dishes during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the Head Chef with the day‑to‑day running of the kitchen.
- Leading service and ensuring food is delivered to a high standard.
- Managing and motivating the kitchen team.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and supplier management.
- Ensuring food hygiene, health & safety and kitchen compliance standards are met.
- Supporting with menu execution and maintaining consistency across dishes.
- Standing in for the Head Chef when required.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous.
- A background in pan‑Asian, sushi or Asian‑inspired cuisine.
- Strong service leadership and organisational skills.
- Experience with fresh food, high standards and quality ingredients.
- The ability to train, motivate and support a kitchen team.
