Night Baker (Part-Time) – Village Bakery | Chorley (PR7)

£13.50 – £14.00 per hour

25–30 hours per week

Monday to Friday | Midnight – 6:30am

No weekends (unless you want overtime)

Immediate start

If you enjoy proper bread-making and like the idea of finishing work before most people wake up, this is a great little role. We’re working with a small, family‑run village bakery producing fresh bread daily — no mass production, no corporate setup, just a tight‑knit team that takes pride in what they make.

The role:

  • Working overnight alongside the Head Baker to prepare doughs and bake for the next day
  • Mixing, shaping and baking a range of fresh breads
  • Keeping quality consistent — this is proper craft, not just process
  • Managing your section independently during quieter periods
  • Keeping everything clean, organised and running smoothly

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in baking or food production (bakery preferred)
  • Someone reliable — night shifts need consistency
  • Comfortable working independently and getting stuck in
  • Good understanding of baking processes and food safety
  • Organised, practical and happy working in a small team

What’s on offer:

  • £13.50–£14.00 per hour
  • Monday to Friday only — weekends free (overtime optional)
  • Early finishes — done by 6:30am
  • Free food on shift
  • Discounts for family & friends
  • Free parking on site
  • Proper family‑run environment — no layers of management
  • Training and development if you want to build your skills
  • Christmas Day & New Year off + tips

Worth noting: The bakery is in a rural spot, so driving is ideal unless you’re local. If you like the idea of getting your work done early, being part of a small team, and actually seeing the product of your work every day — this is a solid fit.
