Perfect Recruitment are currently working with a well-established independent sustainability and architectural consultancy to recruit a BREEAM Assessor to join their growing Energy & Sustainability team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about sustainable building design who enjoys working closely with design teams and clients to deliver high-quality environmental performance across a wide range of projects. The role offers hybrid working, with a blend of time spent at the Blackburn office and working remotely.

The Role

  • Delivering sustainability and energy services across multiple projects and sectors, working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams.
  • Leading projects to deliver BREEAM assessments and Part L advice to clients and design teams.
  • Working across a variety of sectors and project types.
  • Preparing energy and sustainability statements for planning submissions.
  • Providing sustainability input during master planning stages.
  • Supporting contractors and consultants through the sustainability delivery process.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously, including workflow coordination and financial performance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments including net zero initiatives, LETI guidance and Building Regulations.
  • Potential line management responsibilities as the team continues to grow.
  • Potential involvement in embodied carbon Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) depending on experience.

About You

  • Proven track record delivering successful BREEAM assessments, ideally achieving Very Good, Excellent or Outstanding ratings.
  • BREEAM Licensed Assessor.
  • BREEAM AP (advantageous but not essential).
  • Experience or knowledge of schemes such as BREEAM, Home Quality Mark (HQM) and Part L.
  • Awareness of wider sustainability frameworks such as net zero carbon and NABERS.
  • Experience managing or contributing to energy and sustainability services on projects.
  • Knowledge of embodied carbon and Life Cycle Assessment (desirable).
  • Comfortable working with multiple design teams and clients simultaneously.
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A genuine passion for sustainability and the built environment.
