We are recruiting an experienced Sous Chef for a large, well-established hotel operation in the Bolton area. This is a high-volume kitchen environment with significant conference and banqueting, alongside multiple food and beverage outlets. This role is ideal for a Sous Chef who enjoys working at scale within a structured operation and is comfortable supporting large services and events.
The Role
- Supporting the Head Chef and senior kitchen team with daily kitchen operations
- Assisting in the delivery of high-volume conference, banqueting and outlet services
- Supervising kitchen sections and supporting junior chefs during service
- Maintaining food quality, presentation and consistency at all times
- Ensuring food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards are met
- Supporting stock control, ordering and waste management
- Contributing to a positive, professional and well-organised kitchen environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef, ideally within a hotel or large-scale operation
- Background in conference & banqueting or high-volume service preferred
- Strong organisational skills with a calm, hands-on approach during service
- Confident leading and supporting teams in a fast-paced environment
- Flexible, reliable and committed to maintaining high standards
