This is a hands-on role combining recruitment, client management and business development with the opportunity to lead, coach and develop a team of Trainee Recruitment Consultants. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of new and existing clients
- Building strong, long-term relationships with hiring managers and decision-makers

- Leading and supporting a team of Trainee Recruitment Consultants
- Coaching trainees on candidate generation, client management, sales and recruitment best practice
- Setting expectations and helping trainees work towards individual and team targets
- Monitoring performance and providing regular feedback and support
- Leading by example and maintaining high standards across the team
- Working closely with senior management to identify opportunities for growth
Who We’re Looking For
This position is aimed at experienced recruitment professionals who are ready to take the next step in their career. You’ll already understand that successful recruitment is about much more than filling vacancies. You know how to develop relationships, understand your clients, find great candidates and create opportunities. We’d like to hear from you if you have:
- Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant
- A strong track record of managing and developing client relationships
- Confidence in business development and winning new opportunities
- Experience managing the full 360 recruitment process
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills
- A commercial and target-driven mindset
- The ability to work at pace while maintaining excellent service standards
- A genuine interest in coaching and developing less experienced consultants
- The confidence to lead from the front and take responsibility for team performance
- Previous management experience would be desirable
- Must own your own vehicle due to a large part of your role being on the road visiting clients
- Industrial recruitment experience would be particularly valuable, although experienced consultants from other recruitment sectors are encouraged to apply
What We’re Looking for in a Person
We want someone who is ambitious, positive and people-focused. You’ll enjoy working in a high-performance environment, but you’ll also understand that great recruitment businesses are built around great people. You’ll be the type of recruiter who takes pride in their results, cares about their clients and candidates, and wants to help the people around them succeed.
Why Join Us?
This is an opportunity to step into a senior position where you can make a genuine impact. You’ll have the autonomy to develop your own desk and client relationships while taking responsibility for developing a team of new consultants. As the team grows, there will be opportunities to take on greater leadership responsibility and progress your career within the business.
