Location: Taunton, Somerset
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £31,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience) + Overtime Available
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join a well-established and growing engineering business based in Taunton. This role is ideal for someone with a proven background in fabrication and welding, or for someone who has completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship or BTEC in Welding & Fabrication and has gained hands-on industry experience. Working within a skilled fabrication team, you'll manufacture a wide range of bespoke architectural, structural, and secondary steelwork to a consistently high standard. The company operates from modern, well-equipped workshops and uses the latest CNC processing technology to ensure precision, efficiency, and quality throughout the manufacturing process.

Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld a variety of bespoke steelwork from technical drawings.
- Work accurately from fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Produce high-quality work while meeting production deadlines.
- Work collaboratively within the fabrication team.
- Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping.
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A background in fabrication, welding, or manufacturing.
- The ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings.
- A minimum of 5 years' fabrication/welding experience (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality workmanship.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- A positive attitude with a flexible approach to work.
- Experience using tube bending machinery and robotic welding systems would be advantageous, although full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
Friday: 8:00am – 4:00pm
