(Inside IR35) | 12 months | London, 2-3 days on site | Lloyd's Market

A leading Lloyd's syndicate is hiring a Business Data Architect on an initial 12-month contract to work on their Delegated Authority transformation programme.

This is a translation role. You'll sit between the business and the data engineering and technical delivery teams, making sure what gets built actually matches what the business needs. You won't be coding - but you will need to hold your own with engineers and steer technical requirements in the right direction.

The programme: DA transformation end to end - cover holder onboarding, bordereaux processing, and the analytics that sit off the back of it. AI tooling is already being used to process delegated bordereaux, and there's likely exposure to the enhanced underwriting programme as it moves into BAU over the next year.

What they're looking for:

  • Strong business process understanding paired with genuine technical fluency - comfortable in the middle of the continuum, not at either end
  • Business architecture, business capability or business design and analysis modelling experience
  • Experience supporting business change across the full delivery lifecycle
  • Confidence engaging stakeholders from end user to senior exec
  • Someone who'll get stuck in - appetite matters as much as tenure here

Desirable: Insurance / London Market, particularly delegated authority or bordereaux exposure. TOGAF or equivalent. ITIL.

You don't need a decade in a business architect title. If you're a technical BA operating inside a group architecture function and doing this work in practice, this is worth a conversation.

Day rate: Please discuss, Inside IR35 (umbrella) - some flexibility for the right person

Duration: 12 months

Location: London, averaging 2-3 days on site
