Location: Office-based / Hybrid options available

Hours: Full-time (Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week)

Base Salary: £35,000 (£59,000 OTE) to £45,000 (£81,000 OTE)

Car Allowance: £500 per month

Monthly Targets: £2,000 MRR for £35k base / £3,000 MRR for £45k base

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-energy, ambitious Business Development Manager to drive new logo acquisition across the SMB sector. This is a pure new business hunter role. You will build and manage your pipeline through outbound prospecting, networking, targeted campaigns, and referrals. You will lead commercial conversations surrounding Unified Communications (UCaaS), connectivity, mobile tariffs, and hosted telephony, uncovering operational pain points and translating capabilities into clear commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, and secure new SMB accounts through outbound prospecting and networking.
  • Build, qualify, and manage a healthy pipeline of UC, connectivity, and mobile opportunities.
  • Lead full sales cycles from initial discovery through to proposal delivery, presentation, and closing.
  • Work closely with internal product and technical specialists to design competitive packages.
  • Build trusted relationships with business owners, Managing Directors, Operations leads, and IT managers.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, deal tracking, and activity records within the CRM.

Requirements

  • 2+ years proven success in B2B new business sales (telecoms, UC, connectivity, or mobile preferred).
  • Proactive, resilient, and target-driven hunter mindset focused on opening new accounts.
  • Track record of navigating short-to-mid-length sales cycles with SMB decision-makers.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to articulate ROI, contract options, and operational benefits.
  • Exceptional discovery, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Solid foundational understanding of hosted VoIP, UCaaS, connectivity, and mobile solutions.
