Our client, a leading Belfast based Managed Service Provider (MSP), is currently expanding their commercial team. Known for their technical excellence and people first culture, they are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who can drive growth across both new and existing accounts. This isn’t a micro-managed environment. The Sales Director values autonomy as long as the numbers are being hit, you have the freedom to manage your own diary.

The Product Landscape
Our client provides a comprehensive one stop shop for business technology. We are looking for candidates who have experience in either or both of the following areas:
- Unified Communications & Connectivity
- Cloud Telephony: Hosted VoIP and PBX systems (e.g., 3CX, Teams Voice, Gamma).
- Connectivity: Business Broadband, Dedicated Leased Lines.
- Mobile: Bespoke business mobile fleets and multi-network SIM solutions.
- Managed IT & Infrastructure
- Cloud Services: Azure, Microsoft 365, and Hosted Desktop solutions.
- IT Support: Managed helpdesk services and pro-active maintenance contracts.
- Cyber Security & Infrastructure: Firewalls, disaster recovery, and hardware lifecycle management.
Skills & Requirements
Key Requirements:
- Sector Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a B2B sales role within IT Services or Telecommunications
- Technical Literacy: Ability to discuss technical solutions (like Cloud vs. On-prem or the benefits of moving to a VoIP platform) confidently with MDs and IT Managers.
- The Hunter Instinct: Proven experience in full sales cycle within an MSP environment this can be with both net new business or upselling to existing clients.
- Account Management: Ability to audit existing client setups, identify gaps in their tech stack, and present value add solutions.
- Commercial Acumen: You should understand Gross Profit (GP) and be comfortable negotiating contracts ranging from small upgrades through to full digital transformation.
- Full UK Driving License: Necessary for site visits across Northern Ireland.

The Financials
Our client offers three distinct salary bands tailored to your experience level and proven track record:
- £30,000 base with a £9,000 monthly GP target (£45k OTE) + car allowance
- £35,000 base with a £12,500 target (£55k+ OTE) + car allowance
- £38,000 base with a £15,000 target (£70k OTE) + car allowance
Top Performer Insight: The current top biller is earning over £100k per year, regularly seeing commission checks of £10k+ in a single month.
Unrivalled Commission Structure
Commission is paid upon installation (typically a 4–6 week turnaround):
- New Business & Lapsed Clients: 25% Upfront / 15% Recurring
- Existing Clients (New Product): 20% Upfront / 10% Recurring
- Existing Clients (Upsell/Expansion): 15% Upfront / 5% Recurring
The Setup & Culture
- The Team: You’ll be joining a high energy team of 9, supported by 2 internal desk sales professionals to help with lead flow and admin.
- Flexibility: Everyone is in the office on Fridays for team collaboration and reporting. For the rest of the week, you are trusted to manage your time between home and field based meetings.
- The Car Package: You will receive a car allowance during your probation. Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a company car, and the business will pay to install an EV charger at your home for free.
