Golders Green is a vibrant North London neighbourhood, known for its family-friendly atmosphere, excellent transport links, and range of local shops, cafes, and amenities. The property itself is a five-bedroom home over two floors, shared by a family of four, including two parents and two children aged 15 and 17. The household operates on an informal basis, with no other staff employed, and includes a friendly Cavapoo, though no pet care is required.
We are searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic Housekeeper who is self-motivated, trustworthy, and takes genuine pleasure in maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming home. The successful candidate will be confident working independently, able to manage their time efficiently, and experienced in high-standard housekeeping practices. Laundry and ironing are handled by the family, with the housekeeper responsible only for folding and putting items away.
Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:
- General housekeeping, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning to a high standard
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness across all occupied areas of the home
- Folding and putting away laundry, ensuring clothing and linens are organised
- Care and maintenance of carpeted flooring using appropriate methods and products
- Keeping the household organised, welcoming, and well-presented
- Changing the bedding
- Focusing on regularly used rooms, with occasional rooms (e.g., guest bedroom) cleaned only as needed
Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant private housekeeping experience
- Two excellent checkable references
- Legal right to work in the UK
- Conversational level of English
