A warm and professional family residing in Burghfield Reading is seeking an experienced and discreet Housekeeper / Nanny to assist in the upkeep and organization of their beautiful family home. The household is relaxed with two delightful children and a friendly Border Terrier. The position is primarily housekeeping-focused with additional childcare support during school holidays. The family requires a self-employed professional who can maintain the home at a high standard, manage laundry and assist with tidying and household organization.

Duties

• General and deep cleaning of all household areas
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe organization
• Occasional grocery shopping and errands
• Occasional pet care such as short dog walks
• Light childcare support during school holidays (ages 2 and 6)
• Assisting during school holidays or occasional evenings when needed

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of private household experience
• Two excellent checkable references
• Fluent conversational English
• Valid UK work permit
• DBS check
• Pet-friendly and comfortable around children

Working Details

• Type: Permanent part-time live-out (self-employed)
• Working days: Two days per week (Monday & Thursday or Tuesday & Friday)
• Working hours: 10:00 to 15:00 (10 hours per week) with potential increase
• Language: English
• Children: Two 6-year-old and 2-year-old
• Pets: 1 small Border Terrier
• Salary: £2025 gross per hour depending on experience (self-employed)
• Location: Burghfield Reading, Berkshire, UK
