A warm, welcoming and professional family based in North London are seeking an experienced Part-Time Housekeeper / Cook / Household Assistant to support the smooth running of their busy private household. The family reside in a spacious six-bedroom home and run a successful business from home, resulting in a dynamic and varied household environment. With a four-year-old child and frequent work commitments, the family are looking for a reliable, organised and proactive professional who is seeking a long-term position and values consistency and commitment.
This is a live-out role based in a well-connected North London location, offering excellent public transport links and easy accessibility. The family are ideally seeking someone who can gradually become an integral part of their household, supporting both domestic and light administrative needs with confidence and discretion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of housekeeping, supporting healthy meal preparation and assisting with day-to-day household organisation. Duties and Responsibilities
- High-standard housekeeping including cleaning, laundry, ironing and general household upkeep
- Maintaining organisation throughout the home, ensuring consistency and efficiency
- Managing deliveries, parcels and household supplies
- Light errand running such as grocery shopping and post office visits
- Preparing healthy, home-cooked vegetarian meals (knowledge of vegetarian cuisine essential)
- Supporting meal planning and basic food preparation when required
- Assisting with household administration and light PA duties, including basic computer-based tasks
- Supporting household organisation during the family’s travel periods
- Working collaboratively with the principals to adapt duties as the role develops
- Using eco-friendly and non-toxic cleaning products in line with household preferences
Minimal Requirements
- Minimum of three years’ private household experience in a similar role
- Two excellent, checkable references
- Fluent conversational English
- DBS check
- Right to work in the UK
