Perfect Household Staff is pleased to offer a superb opportunity for a dedicated and reliable part-time Housekeeper/Cook to join a well-established and well-staffed private household in Barnet, London. This is an excellent long-term position for an experienced professional who enjoys working in a structured, calm environment and delivering consistently high standards of cleanliness and healthy home-cooked meals.

Barnet is a desirable residential area in North London, known for its excellent transport links, strong local amenities and peaceful neighbourhoods. The role is well suited to a professional Housekeeper/Cook seeking a stable part-time schedule within an organised household environment.

The employer is a single gentleman of Chinese descent living in a three-bedroom townhouse arranged across three floors. The household team includes a house manager, a gardener, a personal assistant and a private chauffeur. The existing Housekeeper/Cook has been with the household for seven years and requires additional support due to the long-term nature of the employer\’s staffing plans. The incoming professional will work alongside her, taking responsibility for full housekeeping and cooking on Fridays and Saturdays while providing general support on two additional flexible weekdays.
The employer maintains a healthy diet: no sugar, no dairy, no deep-fried foods, no raw meat/fish and no wasabi due to intolerance. Asian cuisine is often preferred, though the principal is open to other healthy, balanced cuisines. Experience using eco-friendly cleaning products is welcomed. The employer is offering formal employment with standard UK holiday entitlement and will cover reasonable travel expenses for professionals attending face-to-face interviews. A driving licence and own vehicle are required.

Working Days: Four days per week (Friday and Saturday essential)
Working Hours: 26 hours per week (Fri–Sat: 8 hours/day from 9:00; two flexible weekdays: 5 hours/day from 9:00)

Main duties of the Part-Time Housekeeper:

• Supporting the long-standing Housekeeper/Cook with general housekeeping duties
• Maintaining cleanliness and organisation throughout the three-bedroom townhouse
• Using eco-friendly cleaning products where possible
• Full housekeeping and cooking responsibilities on Fridays and Saturdays
• Preparing healthy meals in accordance with the employer\’s dietary requirements (no sugar, dairy, raw meat/fish, deep-fried dishes, or wasabi)
• Cooking primarily Asian dishes with the flexibility to prepare other healthy international cuisines
• Laundry, ironing and caring for household linens and garments as required
• Assisting with shopping, stocks, inventories and household supplies
• Working collaboratively with the house manager, gardener, PA and chauffeur
• Ensuring professional standards, discretion and a respectful approach at all times

Requirements for this Part-Time Housekeeper job:

• Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant private Housekeeper experience
• Two excellent checkable references
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Conversational level of English
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
