Perfect Household Staff are delighted to be assisting a welcoming and rapidly expanding home-based early years nursery located in vibrant South East London, New Cross Station. This nurturing environment is focused on kindness, empathy, and playful early development, providing a safe and joyful space for children under five. The setting is led by a dedicated principal and supported by a friendly team who value collaboration, cultural diversity, and a warm educational atmosphere. Working as a Nursery Worker / Nursery Assistant within this small and supportive environment will involve:
- Assisting with engaging early years activities
- Helping supervise children during indoor play and outdoor outings
- Contributing positively to a collaborative childcare team
The role is ideal for a French-speaking professional who enjoys working in a lively nursery setting and wishes to grow with an expanding early years programme. You will never be solely responsible for the children, as the principal and main assistant remain the primary supervisors.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Assisting with welcoming children and supporting morning nursery routines
- Supervising small groups of children alongside senior staff (4 kids)
- Supporting creative play such as arts and crafts, construction games, and storytelling
- Helping facilitate outdoor walks and outings while ensuring safeguarding procedures
- Promoting a calm, safe, and nurturing early years environment
- Supporting early development through play-based learning activities
- Assisting with light nursery organisation and maintaining tidy play spaces
- Working collaboratively with the principal and main assistant to ensure smooth daily operations
- Demonstrating kindness, patience, and enthusiasm while interacting with children
Minimal Requirements
- Three or more Years of Private Nursery Worker / Childcare Experience
- Excellent Checkable References
- French knowledge
- Conversational English
- DBS check
- First Aid Certificate
- UK working permit
