Perfect Household Staff is proud to present a fantastic part-time opportunity for an experienced and professional Housekeeper in the picturesque village of Headcorn, Kent. Headcorn is a charming village in the heart of Kent, often referred to as the \”Gateway to the Weald.\” The village is well known for its picturesque countryside, traditional English cottages, and a vibrant local community. The family residence is a beautifully maintained Georgian property with eight bedrooms and a two-bedroom guest house, surrounded by tranquil countryside. The lady of the house is a renowned musician who often travels for performances and hosts distinguished guests and colleagues at her home studio. This is a household where discretion, initiative, and a meticulous eye for detail are paramount. Applicants must be comfortable around animals, as two friendly dogs and two cats are part of the family.
Due to the rural location of the property, applicants must hold a valid UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle for commuting. There is a possibility to stay in the guest house overnight occasionally.
Working as a professional housekeeper in a private household such as this requires a high level of organisation, confidentiality, and care. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the main house and guest accommodation, working alongside an existing cleaner and personal assistant. Your role will include managing laundry, maintaining high housekeeping standards, and ensuring the smooth running of the home, especially during the family’s frequent travels.

MaindutiesofthePart-TimeHousekeeper:
- General cleaning and tidying of the 8-bedroom Georgian house and 2-bedroom guest house.
- Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe organisation.
- Cleaning of fridge and pantry, and keeping household supplies organised.
- Changing and preparing fresh linens.
- Coordinating with the external ironing service.
- Taking initiative to ensure the property remains well-maintained during the principals’ absence.
- Pet care while the principals are away (feeding, walking, basic grooming).
- Care and upkeep of wooden, leather, and velvet furniture.
- Working alongside a cleaner and a personal assistant in a collaborative and respectful manner.
- No cooking is involved.
