Role Overview

We are seeking a capable and confident Bookkeeper/Accounts Assistant to join our friendly office. You will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations and supervising two team members, contributing to the continued success of the firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping to trial balance using Sage

• Assisting with accounts preparation (IRIS experience preferred, but not essential)

• Processing payroll (preferably using Sage Payroll)

• Preparing Corporation Tax and Income Tax computations

• Managing a bank of clients and prioritising workload effectively

• Providing clear and professional communication with clients

Requirements

• Good working knowledge of Sage

• Proficiency in bookkeeping up to trial balance

• Experience preparing accounts and tax computations (preferred)

• Basic understanding of Corporation Tax and Personal Tax

• Sage Payroll experience highly desirable

• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships

• Highly organised, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
