Contract: Full Time (36 hours per week)

Working Pattern: Days and Weekends

Location: Malvern, Worcestershire – Davenham, Bradbury Court and Perrins House

Overview

Friends of the Elderly (FotE) is a not‑for‑profit charity that has been providing excellent care and a family feel for over 120 years. We support older people through care homes, day care services and grants for those in financial difficulty. As a Shift Leader, you will help deliver person‑centred care to our residents, supporting their independence, choice and dignity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure residents are safe and comfortable.
  • Act as a champion for safety and dignity.
  • Lead the team in providing quality, individualised care in line with procedures and policies.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Follow procedures for ordering, administering and dispensing medication.
  • Conduct supervisions and appraisals with staff and promote their development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean workplace and follow infection control protocols.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role, having led a team and administered medication.
  • Level 2 diploma in Health and Social Care (Level 3 or higher desirable).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Numeracy and digital skills, ability to problem‑solve and adapt to situations.
  • Capability to recognise and report safeguarding concerns.
