Reablement carers are trained professionals who support individuals to regain independence and daily living skills after illness, injury, or hospital discharge. They focus on helping people do things for themselves rather than doing tasks on their behalf. They support individuals in activities such as cooking, washing, dressing, moving around the home, and participating in social activities, using a “doing with” approach that encourages autonomy and confidence.
