Overview
Instrument & Control Commissioning Engineer at the Wytch Farm oilfield near Corfe Castle, Wareham, Dorset. Join a multi-disciplinary team to safely and cost-effectively deliver projects and modifications from concept to operation, integrating new systems into legacy Instrument & Control perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Form part of a multi-discipline team for HAZOP and LOPA studies.
- Work with other disciplines to develop project requirements from concept.
- Produce documentation such as loop sheets, functional design specifications, cross patch schedules, instrument data sheets, functional test procedures and control panel drawings.
- Lead a team to complete commissioning activities and ensure quality assurance.
- Liaise with and manage key third party contractors.
- Ensure all instrumentation and control aspects meet all relevant site and international standards.
- Follow the requirements of Change Management policies (e.g., Plant Modifications Proposals).
- Actively participate in the site safety initiative through safety conversations/observations.
- Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to and actively promoted at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Hold an accredited degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas Industry is desirable, though applications from related industries will be considered.
- Experience with ATEX equipment (Compex Trained) is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of Functional Safety IEC61511 is desirable but not essential.
- Experience of Operational Technology cybersecurity is desirable but not essential.
- Team player with clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and solutions-focused with clear ownership of duties.
- Valid UK driving license.
