Join us as a SEO Project Planner/Project Support Officer for our client the Home Office. Please note: Active SC clearance is required for this role. Please only apply if you hold this.

Location: Remote with around 1 day a month onsite (expensed).

The Role: Secure by Design is an initiative that is included in the Transforming for a digital future roadmap and the Government Cyber Security Strategy. Secure by Design will form part of the CO Strategy and spend control approvals framework. It will enable the Home Office to build appropriate and proportionate security controls within digital services offered to internal and external customers.

Secure by Design are looking for a Project Planner, this role will primarily be a Project Planner with additional Project Support activities and will sit within the PMO. The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring comprehensive project schedules and timelines. They will also contribute to streamlining the SbD process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Additionally, the candidate will be conducting quality assurance checks to ensure that the project is meeting the standards and objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Programme lead and implementation team in planning and executing SbD objectives, workbook actions and risk/issue management.
  • Develop, maintain and monitor comprehensive project schedules and timelines that detail tasks, milestones, and deadlines, collaborating with all stakeholders.
  • Streamlining SbD processes, ensuring efficiency, effectiveness and productivity through proactive problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Monitor SbD implementation progress, addressing potential issues and implementing solutions agreed.
  • Coordinate SbD implementation team activities, including scheduling and maintaining the drumbeat tempo, document management and team communication.
  • Conduct secretariat duties in support of the SbD Programme delivery board as part of the defined drumbeat.
  • Prepare project reports on time, providing detailed updates on project status in collaboration with the SbD implementation team.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks, ensuring the project meets set standards and objectives.
