Senior Commercial Finance Analyst / Hybrid Location: London This role is for DCC employees only (excludes day rate contractors). Team – Finance / Function - Commercial, Finance & Corporate Assurance Closing date 11th September 2026 Join the Commercial Finance team and play a key role in supporting one of the largest areas of DCC's cost base. Reporting to Matthew Bright, this role sits at the heart of commercial decision-making, partnering with contract and supplier management teams to provide financial insight, challenge and guidance. The role offers exposure to senior stakeholders, strategic planning activities and major supplier contracts that underpin DCC's operations. This role combines management accounting excellence with commercial finance partnering. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with stakeholders across the business, helping them understand costs, shape financial plans and support key supplier and contract decisions. How you will contribute to transforming the smart energy network and shaping the future ·      Deliver month-end activities, management accounting processes and financial reporting across a significant area of the DCC cost base. ·      Support annual and five-year planning activities, providing insight and analysis to inform business decisions ·      Partner with Contract and Supplier Management teams to understand, forecast and challenge cost drivers across key service providers. ·      Review financial models, assumptions and business cases, providing robust commercial challenge and recommendations ·      Build strong relationships with stakeholders across and beyond Finance, acting as a trusted advisor and critical friend. What you need to bring ·      Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent). ·      Strong management accounting experience with the ability to interpret and explain financial performance ·      A commercial mindset, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and understand underlying business drivers. ·      Excellent stakeholder management skills and a genuine interest in working collaboratively across the organisation. ·      Curiosity, adaptability and a desire to understand how business operations and contracts influence financial outcomes.
