The role: We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join a collaborative Agile delivery team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining user-facing web applications, working closely with designers, backend developers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality digital services. The role requires a strong focus on accessibility, code quality, and the delivery of responsive, user-centred solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend features and functionality across web-based user interfaces.
- Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers to ensure solutions are accessible, responsive, and aligned with design standards and best practices.
- Review and contribute to merge requests, promoting high coding standards, maintainability, and consistency across the codebase.
- Work alongside backend developers to integrate frontend applications with shared services, APIs, and workflow management capabilities.
- Identify and resolve defects, performance issues, and usability concerns.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including development practices, tooling, and team processes.
- Ensure solutions meet quality, accessibility, security, and performance requirements.

- Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proven experience developing modern, responsive web applications.
- Experience working within Agile software delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards and best practices.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git and participating in code review processes.
