The role:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to support the development and enhancement of complex software applications used within a highly regulated engineering environment.
In this role, you will design, develop and maintain software solutions, working closely with Systems Engineers, Test Engineers and Project Teams to deliver high-quality products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving challenging technical problems and contributing to innovative, real-world solutions.
Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain software applications using C# and .NET technologies.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle from requirements through to release.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver new functionality and product enhancements.
Troubleshoot and resolve software defects identified during development and testing.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements.
Produce technical documentation to support development and support activities.
Support Agile delivery practices, including sprint planning and reviews.
Contribute to technical design discussions and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills & Experience:
Commercial experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
Experience developing desktop applications using Windows Forms.
Understanding of TCP/IP and UDP networking protocols.
Experience working within structured software development environments.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Experience with source control and software configuration management.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
