The Role:
Are you passionate about driving smarter, more customer-focused public services? We’re seeking a strategic Continuous Improvement (CI) Coach to embed operational excellence and service design into a high-profile transformation programme within a UK regulatory body. This is a unique opportunity to influence how public services evolve, bringing clarity, consistency, and innovation to the heart of change. As a CI Coach, you’ll be instrumental in cultivating a culture of learning, agility, and continuous improvement. You’ll work across teams and leadership groups to:
- Shape and deliver CI strategy across complex change programmes
- Embed customer-centricity and quality into service design and delivery
- Lead methodical investigations into business needs, customer journeys, and operational processes
- Coach teams through Lean, Six Sigma, and service design methodologies –
- Drive measurable improvements in customer experience and operational performance
Responsibilities:
The CI Coach is a strategic hands-on position focused on embedding a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement.
We are interested in hearing from candidates who have the following capabilities:
- Lean (Min Level 2a) or Six Sigma (Green Belt+) certification
- Proven experience in CI coaching, service design, and process improvement
- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
- Experience leading cross-functional teams through change
- Background in public sector transformation or regulatory environments
It would also be beneficial, but not necessary, to have some of the following:
- Understanding of major organisational restructuring, including Communications, Stakeholder Management, and Change Management.
- Knowledge of tools for diagnosing, designing, and implementing change interventions.
- Experience with RPA, AI, and automation software/projects.
- Experience supporting process migration projects.
- Background in working within a regulatory environment within the aviation industry
