We are seeking an experienced SC Cleared Senior Business Analyst to join a high-profile change and transformation function operating within a secure, regulated environment. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will set the strategic direction for business analysis across major programmes, working in partnership with senior stakeholders to define, refine and deliver impactful business change.
Due to the nature of the work, this role requires active SC Clearance. Candidates must already hold SC Clearance or be eligible and willing to undergo and maintain clearance.
You will act as the central point of contact for business analysis across allocated programmes, driving operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, supporting transformation initiatives, and enhancing overall business performance. In addition, you will champion Business Analysis best practice, mentor junior colleagues, and help shape and mature the wider Business Change capability.
Responsibilities:
- Set the strategic direction for Business Analysis across assigned programmes and projects.
- Lead the identification, analysis and documentation of business requirements using workshops, interviews and document analysis.
- Develop comprehensive ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ process models, identifying opportunities for optimisation and automation.
- Provide clear traceability from business requirements through to solution design and implementation.
- Oversee development of functional specifications, user stories and testing artefacts.
- Lead end-to-end BA planning including forecasting, demand and capacity management.
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders, including C-suite, ensuring alignment to strategic objectives.
- Support change management activities including communications, training and adoption planning.
- Monitor and evaluate operational KPIs, providing data-driven insights to leadership teams.
- Provide line or matrix management to Business Analysts within programme teams.
Skills & Experience:
- Active SC Clearance
- Significant experience operating as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst within complex change programmes.
- Strong experience across both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong experience around Data, Data models, Data Journeys, Data Management and Data Migration/integration.
- Proven ability to influence, negotiate and challenge senior stakeholders.
- Educated to degree level ISEB / BCS BA Diploma certified, IIBA certification (e.g. CBAP) or equivalent.
- Solid career track record as a business analyst with strong exposure to technical / software development projects ideally within a financial or regulatory environment.
- Proven experience working with agile/scrum methodologies.
- Deep understanding of the Software development lifecycle and its application in an agile context.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA and Confluence for Agile project management and documentation.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g. BCS, IIBA, PMI-PBA or equivalent) preferred.
